NLC Adult & Community Spiritual growth opportunities

Where real community stimulates
a growing Faith

Bible Studies & Adult Learning

Women’s Bible Studies

There are currently two women’s Bible studies, one meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1:00 pm at church. The other meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am at church. Each study is different and you may jump in at any time. For more information contact the church office or view the calendar.

Men’s Bible Studies

Men’s Bible Study meets two Fridays a month from 8:00 to 9:30am in the Fireside room. The group is a multi-generational cross section of men that get together and study the word of God, eat doughnuts with coffee and attempt to solve all of the world’s problems! We learn about God’s word for us and how it relates to the current issues of our lives. See NLC’s calendar for more info.

Other presentations and intergenerational activities present themselves for spiritual growth occasionally at the church.

Check the calendar for dates and more information.

Our mission to share faith, show love, and shine God’s light is informed by Jesus’ command to “love one another.” We share, show, and shine our love for one another through our ministry and outreach.

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”

Monthly Community Meal

Serving, Feeding, Sharing God’s Love

On the 2nd Saturday of each month, we host a monthly community meal. It is an opportunity for food and fellowship. A goodwill offering is collected, but the meal is offered for free.

And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

– John 21:17c (NRSV)

Quilters at NLC

WHEN: First & Third Thursdays of the month

9:00 – 11:00am

All levels of quilting skill and experience are welcome. The group sends quilts they produce to many different locations including Lutheran Social Services and Lutheran World Relief. NLC quilters have made and donated over 1,000 quilts!

The joy of quilting is found not only in the work each person does, but also found and fostered within the community by living life together.

Come join with us in this mission. Coffee, tea, and snacks are served!

“A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.”

– Anonymous Quilter
